Current Project
My research area is
Information Retrieval. In
a current project, we are
developing
a specialized search system. The
key idea is to crawl from the Web quality documents
(i.e., pages) dealing with a specific topic. The first
implementation is available here. The system is focused on climate change - hence the name CliCS - Climate Change Search. Our
project plan involves building a larger quality-based Web
search system dealing with many globally significant topics, such as human genome, genetic engineering,
and wind power.
