Dr. Ann E. Bartos (University of Auckland, New Zealand) is visiting the University of Tampere, School of Management, in September 2016. She gives two open guest lectures, hosted by the Space and Political Agency Research Group (SPARG):

Dr. Bartos is a feminist political and cultural geographer from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. She earned PhD from the University of Washington, and has studied issues of gender and migration in Indonesia, women’s anti-war activism in the United States, and children’s environmental politics in New Zealand. Currently, she continues a longitudinal study with children in New Zealand on political agency, care, embodiment and transitions. She also teaches and conducts political ecology research on food politics and engages with questions around food sovereignty and possibilities for social change. Publications and research projects
