The Sherlock Holmes Day consists of conference and poster presentations by students who have attended the course ENGS46-47 Crime Narratives I-II: Pop-up Sherlock! during Autumn 2016. This course was a theme course on the original Sherlock Holmes stories and their various adaptations and rewritings. Each student chose a Holmes narrative (from literature, film. television etc) and narrowed down a research topic. The fruits of the labour will be presented as a speech or a poster presentation on one's chosen topic.
Attendance is free of charge; tea, coffee and wine will be served.
The conference is organised by Plural - Research Centre for Language, Translation and Literary Studies at the University of Tampere
