On 12 October, the Transitional Board of the new Tampere University appointed MSc (Econ) Hanna Rinne as Director of Human Resources upon the proposal of President Mari Walls.
Newly appointed Director of Human Resources Hanna Rinne is currently heading the HR project within the Tampere3 project. Rinne has worked as Director of Human Resources at Tampere University of Technology (TUT) since 2013. Before joining TUT, she has worked, for example, at Huurre Group and Nokia. Hanna Rinne has extensive experience of the management and development of human resources in a university community and global organisations.
Altogether 25 applicants applied for the position of Director of Human Resources.
“The new Tampere University invests in people. Hanna Rinne’s strong international experience of human resources management makes her an excellent choice for this position,” says President Mari Walls.
“We are working to announce the appointments of the Director of Finance, the Director of Communications and Brand Development, and the Senior Advisor before the end of this week. I’m hoping that the majority of the ongoing processes for the appointment of directors, who will be responsible for different services and the development of the university, will be completed in early November,” says Walls.
