Graduates in working life

The university monitors the placement of graduates in actual employment by collecting information from them on the expertise provided by the education and the current requirements of working life. Master’s degree graduates are sent an employment survey about 12 months after graduation and a career follow-up survey five years after graduation. Follow-ups on doctoral graduates are also conducted two to three years after graduation.

Through the Töissä.fi service, you can learn about the types of employment gained by higher education graduates and what types of studies usually lead to specific positions. The website also includes graduates’ accounts on their work and tips for current and future students.

More comprehensive information on the latest national career monitoring results can be viewed on the website of the national network of academic career services at aarresaari.net/career_monitoring.  The results of education provided by the University of Tampere can be monitored using the Excel online tool.

Monitoring reports from previous years can be found on the  university’s Intranet.
